We are accepting applications for four levels of intensive Russian language courses during the summer term: First-Year Intensive Russian Second-Year Intensive Russian Third-Year Intensive Russian Fourth-Year Intensive Russian
Program overview (June 8 - July 31, 2020/8 weeks):
Intensive classes focusing on reading, writing, grammar, speaking, comprehension, and phonetics. Classes (3-4 students) meet every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday9:00 am – 11:30 am (US Mountain Standard time) with short breaks.
One-to-one lessons are scheduled for 2 hours perweek on Wednesdays and on one of the days with group classes (before or after group sessions). Individual class time will be discussed with students in order to ensure the most comfortable schedule for those enrolled in the class.
Conversation practice (2 hours weekly) is arranged using course materials, topics of interest for students, and select culture tours and current events in Moscow (online theatre performances, virtual excursions, concerts, movies).
Homework consists of approximately 4 hours of work per week using our online learning platform.
Moscow as a classroom
We will share selected cultural tours and current events in Moscow with you, including online theatre performances, virtual excursions, concerts, and movies which happening right now!
Our course is based on the Russian as a Foreign Language State Exam System and aimed at providing balanced knowledge of the language while developing your Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening skills.
Courses may be taken for academic credit (via partner institutions) or not taken for credit using direct application. The course load is equivalent to 6-8 credits depending on the course level: First-Year Intensive Russian (8 credits) Second-Year Intensive Russian (8 credits) Third-Year Intensive Russian (6 credits) Fourth-Year Intensive Russian (6 credits)
